through our educated and efficient staff, superior products, informative
community service programs, and excellent customer service.
 Nancy
Duncan - is a 1991 graduate of Somerset High School.
She attended Worcester State College in Worcester, MA and received
a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Communication Disorders
and Psychology in 1995. Nancy then continued on for her Master
of Science (M.S.) degree in Audiology, which she obtained in 1997
from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little
Rock, Arkansas. After graduating, Nancy worked for several private
Audiology practices in Arkansas, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
She opened Duncan Hearing Healthcare in 2003 which has allowed
her to use her expertise in rehabilitative audiology and individualized
patient care. Nancy is currently pursuing her Clinical Doctorate
in Audiology at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry with an
expected February 2005 graduation date.
The audiologist is available to give lectures and informative
seminars to groups and organizations at your request.
 Chris
(Christine) Hasselbacher was born and raised in Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania. In 1986, she moved to Groton, Connecticut and in
1988 began working at the Naval Hospital on the Submarine Base
in the Occupational Health and Safety Department. It was there
that she became interested in a career in Audiology. In 1998,
she left the Naval Hospital to pursue her Bachelor’s degree
in Communicative Disorders, which was awarded to her by the University
of Rhode Island (URI) in May of 2003. She continued her graduate
education at URI and graduated with a Master’s of Science
in Audiology in May of 2005.
Chris began working at Duncan Hearing Healthcare this past June.
As “the new kid on the block” she is learning a great
deal of new information every day. Additionally, Fatima and Nancy
are patiently tutoring her in Portuguese, which is a challenge
for a three of them! For those of you who are fluent in Portuguese,
feel free to offer Chris assistance with her pronunciation; she
will appreciate your help.
Chris currently resides in Taunton with her husband, Tom. She
will be working at the Milliken Boulevard location on Wednesdays
and Fridays. Chris is also working part time at Dr. Mary Smyth’s
office in Fall River. She is looking forward to meeting all of
you and to serving your hearing healthcare needs.
 Fatima
DeOliveira was born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts
before moving to the Fall River area with her family in 1985.
She now resides in Fall River with her son, Aaron and daughter,
Calista.
Fatima brings to us her experiences from a diverse background
including collections and car rentals. Recently, she completed
a degree program at the Salter School, in Fall River, where she
specialized in Medical Billing and Coding. Fatima looks forward
to expanding her education and at this time is looking into taking
business classes at a local University.
Fatima has been with us at Duncan Hearing Healthcare since February
of 2005 and has been an invaluable asset. She is responsible for
medical billing, patient scheduling, answering the telephone and
each day the list of her responsibilities continues to grow. Although
born in the United States, she speaks Portuguese fluently and
has bee a wonderful interpreter for our Portuguese speaking patients.
